We’re back, with another week passed by with flying colors. Every day is pretty fun, Noah is getting bigger still pretty fast, and I swear there are days I can tell a difference from when I leave in the morning for work and when I get home. I’m jealous that Kris gets to stay home with him and spend so much quality time with him.

Tuesday had a funny occurrence – Kris went off to the post office for a quick trip, and returned with Noah probably 15min after leaving Indy to watch over the house while she was gone. When she got home, Indy came to the door, ran outside, and acted scared. Of course, Kris figured something was up, and found out Indy had grabbed a box of crayons off of our extremely cluttered bookshelves, gotten the box open, took the crayons out, and had started eating the box. She must’ve been caught in the act because this is what Kris found:

Noah’s neck has been getting really strong, and he’s really getting much more stable. Of course he can’t sit up on his own yet, but he looks around a lot, follows sounds across a room, and stuff like that. Here’s a nice long video where you can watch him in action while laying on my chest:
Later in the week, we thought we’d see what Noah would look like with brown hair. He was not amused.

One of the cutest things he does is when I first wake him up, take him out of his sleep sack that he sleeps in (it’s like swaddling but with velcro so it’s easy). He does these huge stretches as his arms are finally free, then he’s usually very giggly and happy to stare at the stuffed animals around him. Here’s a sequence of what it looks like:

Last, but not least, today we went out and did some geocaching. It was fun, Noah came in his Baby Bjorn carrier which seemed to work well. He slept most of the time – the walking soothes him. We ended up finding 6 out of 8 we tried today so not too bad. Here’s a shot of Kris/Noah at one of the caches:

Noah’s been loving his baths already – I can’t wait until he is aware and able to play with toys in the big bath tub. Here’s a couple from tonight’s bath:

My last thing to share is some more artsy shots we did this morning. Fun shots and I think they turned out great!

This coming week will be a busy one for us – on Friday I’m headed up north to Canada for my annual fishing trip in NW Ontario, and Kris will head down with Grandma Luikart for a few days then head to Duluth to meet the boys when we come back. My dad is coming with me fishing this year, along with Uncle Tim and my friend Ryan as a lot of us normal guys can’t make it this year. It’ll just be Ryan and I to set the example for the old guys at camp.

What has happened to all his hair??? He looks so cute! We’re looking forward to seeing him (and you, too, Kris) this weekend. We see that he still has a strong head (and Dad thinks “big mitts!”)
Thanks!
Jay,
Great shots and updates, but one comment… Kris carried Noah for ~10 months, now caching you’re STILL making her carry him????
