Well, Noah is now 10 weeks old. Time really flies – it seems like just a few days ago that we brought him home. He’s gotten so much bigger though, and is very strong for how old he is. It really hit home at church this weekend when a couple had their 1wk old baby and she was TINY. It’s amazing how much bigger he is only after 10wks.

The last week has been pretty low key. We got to have a normal week of being back at home, hanging around, playing with Noah, etc. He’s been loving tummy time, playing on the floor, and stuff like that. He’s developed grip, and can now hold toys or rattles and shake them around. He looks around at everything, has discovered his hands both with his mouth and with his eyes, and does a lot more cooing.
He wore his first pair of shoes this week. We haven’t really used many as he doesn’t need them yet, but he’s almost outgrown these already and hadn’t even worn them yet:

On Tuesday, we went out to eat with my mom, Marti, and Wendy to the Milwaukee Ale house. It was great seeing Wendy and Marti – they’re old friends from Maryland and I haven’t seen them in a while. The three of them were on some whirlwind tours of Chicago and were nice enough to drive up and see us and meet Kris and Noah for the first time.

Kris is working on Noah’s baptism outfit, it’s been her first one she’s made from a pattern, and it has tested both of our patience when it comes to trying to understand what the heck the directions say. It can’t help that Noah cries during that, so it’s a bit distracting, but it’s coming together really well.

Here’s one last one of the handsome Luikart boys for the ladies.

Cute shots–thanks for posting them! I will share the blog with Marti & Wendy so they can see themselves with you, too.
Noah looks really long in that shot with Kris. But I can see how much he is filling out. Wish we could have been with you longer, but it was time to head to the hotel.
Love,
Mom
